downhillnews --- interesting.. 30d seems not focused.. it cant be that different .. really?

The girl who shot does our apparel shoots all the time. it was in focus but at full size it does look much softer. Keep in mind the lense was not a good one. My other co-worker used our 24-70 on apparel today with the 30 and said it looked much better. I will try and load some tomorrow.....

i went from a 20D ---> 30D --->1D IIn --->30D ---> 1D.

The 20D introduced me to the Canon-side (previous, and still current Nikon shooter). Then went to the 1d IIn, but couldn't justify keeping a $3000 body not being a pro myself. Went back to the 30D, but found myself wanting better AF capabilities, so kind of settled on the 1D. I'm finally realizing how good the 1D-series cams are. Sure, the 20/30D have great image quality and are probably the best overall cameras, but if you need to shoot action, and are fortunate to have decent lighting, the idea beats it.

i went 30D to 1DMarkIII so similar, its like day and night, the biggest thing for me are the AFpoints and the overall speed of the camera, i also notice image quality out of the camera is alot better, and i shoot 0 contrast, 0 sharpness, 0 saturation so whether the processing in-camera is better not sure, overall it was the perfect investment, so much so i will have my 2nd body soon.

but like others have said the VF is crazy different and going back to the 30D was impossible so much so i havent used it once since i got the MarkIII
