Album templates

Is there any easy way to initially start creating these?

I have set a particular page size (based on graphistudio), but its taking an age putting in the boxes and stuff, and when checking some other people's, its nice to see so much symmetry and consistancy throughout which im finding hard implementing.

Any help on setting these up initially? What do people recommend? etc

I free flow design in Photoshop. I typically create a background for a page first, then drop images on top of it. As for sizing and aligning there are tools in Photoshop to aid in doing this... guide lines, rulers, alignment tools within the move tool, etc.

What software are you currently using?

I have one template on my site (I'm hoping to add more) that people can download. You can follow the instructions for pretty much any kind of template you want to make for yourself (and feel free to share!). Oh, and the header is all messed up on the site, I know...
