Hi Guys,

Now I know this is not a digital camera, but I can't seem to find any film slr forums on the net which are still kept upto date, so i'm hoping I will find some help here (or if you can point me in the direction of these said forums, then please let me know).

Anyway, I have got a Canon EOS 3000 (a bit on the ancient side now I know, but I love it to pieces and I also develop my own films...) but I left it at a friends house back in January and through one reason or another I only got it back the other day. Of course there was no battery life so I went and bought some more and put them in and got no power at all. I thought it might be the fact that there wasnt any film inside so I shoved a film in and still nothing.

Is there anything else which I need to do, or is it time to take it to a specialist repair store (or even upgrade to Digital SLR). I would hate to do the latter because I love this camera so much and have got such a night dark room sorted out now!!!

Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give me!

Cheers.

Dang!! I hate it when that happens. :) Welcome to the forum. There are a few here that still shoot film but alas, not many. I still have my trusty A1 and use it from time to time but more for fun than anything serious.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I met someone last night who shoots with film...she is a photography student, that's why...:)

I stopped shooting film just 5 months ago even though I've had digital cameras for 4 years. I realized that my digital cameras had poor IQ in low light situations. So any indoor shooting required my Elan IIe and 540EZ flash.

Even though my XTI takes beautiful photos in all lighting conditions now, I'm never parting with that IIe.
