Hi all,

I'll probably purchase some lenses to that shop.
The price are incredibly low. It's located in the UK, so no Duty, VAT... shipping to Belgium. The price are almost the same as the one of Hong Kong, without the risk of Duty...
The lenses have 1 year warranty which sounds good to me.

Do you guys know that shop ? Or did you already have a deal with it ?

He also has a shop on eBay with the same 123fstop. His reputation seems to be fine.
But he doensn't accept Paypal outside UK, and many buyers seems to pick up products directly to him.

Can you please let me know what you thing of it ?

Thanks a lot in advance for your answers ;)

Regards,
Laurent.

I'd be worried that such a 'proffesional' company seems unable to provide any details at all on both the 'FAQ' tab and the 'Contact Us' tab of their website, poor grammar elswhere on the site smacks of a scam. I'd avoid them like the plague if I were you.

try www.camerapricebuster.co.uk (external link) to get the best UK prices and then try from there, reputable and established UK operations.

The mere fact that your asking about them hints that you have questioned their validity.

I would choose to buy from Kerso - a forum member here who also has an ebay shop. link to feedback on here about him - https://photography-on-the.net …p?t=64418&highlight=kerso

It also helps keep another forumite in a living!
He has over 40 pages of feedback and afaik only 2 negative (which were sorted).

I'll 2nd Kerso. Bought a bargain Canon 10-22mm for £410 (gbp) and he sends you an invoice that can be used for the current cashback promotion!!! Top rate seller, just not sure he'll post to Belgium?

I know he has sent to the Netherlands before but i think the buyer had to meet some of the shipping costs.

Not sure if thats a problem or not to you.

No the shipping cost are not a problem for me, the problem can be the import dutty, but it's in UK, so there is not issue in that case.

Thanks all for your answers.

Laurent.

He his a power seller and seems to have a lot of positives feedback.

I contact him directly and he didn't use his website anymore, the prices are not up to date... he seems to mainly use his eBay shop instead.
This one seems to be trusteable.

not sure if you still want opinions but i got my 20d from him thru ebay.
the guy is genuine and he even had mine shipped the next day.

i wouldn't hesitate dealing with him again...altho unfortunately, there are other places that are cheaper (digital rev being one of them)

Yes I still want opinions, so thanks for your input muscledflex.
I already have a look at the Digital Rev's eBay shop, they are cheaper it's true, but they are located in Honk Kong, so there is some risk of import duties... And they don't offer European warranty like 123fstop who's located in the UK...
So for the little price difference I'd prefere 123fstop.

He also propose me to pay directly the total amount to his bank account without using eBay, and give me a reduction of 60€ if I do that but that doesn't sound secure for me...
Don't know what to do, because one of the lens I'm looking for is not available to his eBay shop, but in his stock (has he said), so a direct bank transfer, can be a possibility to get this lens, but with the risks that can happen... :-(

Laurent.

Hi Steve,

I have checked the eBay shop of Kerso, indeed the feedback seems to be very good, he is a bit more expensive than 123fstop, but he offer PayPal as a payment method, that sound's more secure to me...
Are you happy of your 70-200 f2.8 IS ? I'm interested in that lens.
Do you receive all the item (lens pouch, lens colar, warranty, invoice...) as discribe ?
I need an invoice, I'd like to use it for the Canon Cask back promotion... :-)

Thanks for your infos Steve.

;-)a
Laurent.

Kerso will quote you cheaper than his ebay prices if you contact him direct.

He will send you an invoice, I've just sent mine off to Canon for my cashback. Others have had theirs honoured in previous cashback promotions.
