I'm getting itchy fingers. I intended to wait untill Dec/Jan to purchase my 20d replacement, the 40d.
Do these types of camera usually have price drops at xmas or is it a waste of time waiting?.....then I can purchase NOW!

They don't usually not much anyway, all you'll lose is the rebate, just buy it and apreciate the extra time you got. It's probably worth more than the tiny bit you could possibly save.

Drop Kerso a message, his prices vary and he has limited stock but he quoted me a few weeks ago 660 inc. postage = 610 after rebate.

dabs.com was pretty cheap, I could get a really good price off misco.co.uk

Thanks for the input. I ordered it from Warehouse express today, as its buy now-pay in 12 months interest free.
I just finished paying for my 70-200 IS 2.8 the same way, easier than I thought;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the 40D is cheaper in Europe? My rough conversion has most of the 40D's selling for ~749 euro, which is about $1079 correct? Would someone ordering from the US have to pay VAT or whatever the European taxes are???

I assume that's Euro. I'm in the US and am not too familiar with the European monetary system.
