good way of looking at it...

the downside i guess for me is the time it takes! i dont have much free time... and the only time i do have is when i'm at work, but i spend most of it online on these forums

Amanda reckons half an hour 3 times a week is the bare minimum. I reckon I could do that. I might give it a go for a month, and see if I can do it.

What do you do for exercise?

taekwondo. It's the craziest most intense and fun exercise I've ever done. crazy cardio workouts, weight bearing exercises, impact to strengthen joints, flexibility, discipline, coordination, basically just about every kind of workout in two one hour classes a week. while training in TKD, I've never been more fit in my life.

Only thing is, you gotta find a good school. There are good teachers and bad teachers. Find one with a traditional type of master. I'd much prefer a korean master, they tend to be more respectful of the art, traditionn and discipline.

I should mention I heard tht for women specifically - not sure if it would be different for men. I should start trying to do that, too. Up for a challenge?

but we all do sometimes talk about wedding photography... and it's easier for people to participate as it's a localised chat thread... similar minds, similar wavelengths etc... or am i being narrowminded?

there are pretty specific chat threads over in general chat. it won't be allowed in the sharing forum, anyway, so localised would be a non-issue.

I was going to ask you the same thing.

It's a way that both of us can perhaps "improve" our lifestyles, mind, body and soul...

How would we go about scoring?

I don't know... hmm.. I know I probably can't work out nearly as hard as you, but I don't mind losing--just getting close will motivate me enough i think. you have any ideas?

Okay well I've always wanted to put on a little bit of weight, and perhaps get myself a 6pack (no Archie not beer this time) lol... so erm... I'll measure my score against weight. Also I'd like to see my heart rate fall back to around the 60bpm zone

I'll take some readings tonight and post it up.

What is your intended goal?

well, I guess I should enjoy the dying seconds of wedding chat life.

I don't know if I'll be around that much after the change.

So, where are they going to move this chat thread when they kill the regular wedding forum?

I don't really know. I want to lose weight and get my blood pressure back down where it should be for me (110/70 would be okay). I guess I'll measure against weight, too, just the other way. Duration of challenge?
