Unless your avatar is your actual color, you seem to be quite healthy. I suspect you're not dead at all.

oh.. for some reason I thought that it was only open to pros, similar to pro access at DWF.

Nope. Well at least I don't think so and maybe they made a mistake or they had a one hack limit and I snuck in ;)

I think they are just trying to keep it a bit more closed from the very basic questions that pop up daily (instead of the person searching for the same post) of "Should I buy the lens X or lens Y to do wedding B" and most of it is just now wedding specific with a section of off shoot pics.

But like I said. I'm being a ping pong ball right now and bouncing back and forth.

We have nothing against noobs but prefer that people refrain from posting those pesky little questions such as "How do I shoot a wedding in Westminster Abbey with my Rebel and the kit lens?" Or how do I set my camera for a wedding I'm supposed to shoot in a couple of hours? It's more for established pros or those who plan to make wedding photography a career.

I joined wff, and I actually joined DWF start quite a while ago but have never posted on either. I can't see myself having much to contribute to wff. Not that I have anything to contribute here. I do intend to move into wedding photography after next summer, but I'm not planning to give up portraits or other events, so where does that put me?

I don't mean this as a whiny noob not allowed at the cool lunch table--I am actually just not sure whether I would be useful as a poster. Once wff has more content, I'm sure I'll throughly enjoy viewing posts. I dont' have access to the best stuff at dwf, but have read some there as well.

and as far as forums goes...its like shoes..the more the better. They each serve their purpose. Some fit better than others, some you can wear all the time and others are just for something different...

:)
