Wow!! That's just plain ugly, Jim.

I'd say send as much as you can spare. It was 113 here yesterday, and I'm sick of hot weather already. Gee. Only 5 more months before things cool off.

Elaine and I went for a long drive in the countryside (and in the rain) on Sunday. I have never seen it so green in all the years I have lived in No Virginia. We have a summer's worth of rain already. On the 10th of May we broke the record for rainfall in the month of May in our area...and look at us now on the 20th! But it sure beats 113 degrees hands down :)

I hope to be there in July. Maybe I'll just come out to see you, instead of you coming in. I can bake outside and you and Lois can make fun of the crazy Ohioian! lOL

I mentioned to Lois that we might be going to San Diego to meet a forum member, and she's all in favor of it. She loves San Diego, and she especially loves getting out of the heat whenever a reasonable excuse presents itself.

You, my dear, have become a reasonable excuse.:lol:

I do miss the lush green of the east. It just doesn't exist out here. The mountains will 'green up' during the winter (read: rainy season), but it doesn't last, and by late spring, everything is pretty brown. It has its own beauty, but it takes some getting-used-to.

I've been called a few things, but that one is a first!
It will be great, and I hope you get to stay over night so we can spend more time talking.

As soon as my son gives me the dates I will let you know. Looks like he may make his move to San Diego, I think that is why I am invited to help him find a home! SO, you and Lois may get sick of me in a few months!

I can send a few buckets to anyone, Jim! It rained a ton here again! I heard my sump pump go off about every 3 minutes all night long. Thank heavens it works. I'm getting a back up battery for it this week, just in case the electricity is out. And the sink hole on Dale Blvd is still there, no one can get to it to fill it. The erosion was unexpected and too deep for a quick fix. Over 25K cars usually go on this road daily, so the other detour roads are filled all day long. Such a pain.

And I just saw Fish's promo on procedures for safely getting your stuff not stolen while going through the security at Dulles on GMA. Great story!

I'll pick up a few buckets out of Lake Michigan for Tom, too.

(you know, if we actually had is address, it would be funny to send him small amounts of water from our travels...)

Yeah, but you probably wouldn't see the humor in getting 100 1ml vials of water. :p

but it sure would liven up your day...

short gym day, a gentleman next to me on the treadmill collapsed. just could not continue on after that. they have a male nurse (he's HUGE) I was thankful he was there.

I was surprised at the amount of people who just keep going when something like that happens.

Yikes.

Hey Lisa. Since you're back from the gym early...be a dear and drive out to Maumee, pick up my camera from the UPS facility and drive it up here for me. I'd like it today. thanks!

Lame excuse. Rules were meant to be broken. You could always just drive by UM and egg/moon/whatever on the way back. It'd be out of your way, but probably be worth it. :p
