The 10D is perfect for IR, they go used on ebay for a little over $300.

Oct 31, 2007 21:59 | #29 Not sure I can justify another DSLR. If I can, it will be the 5D or it's possible replacement next year after I get my tax refund. Canon 6D & 7D. Panasonic GX85 and a number of ever changing lenses.

I had four when I also owned a 20D, until very recently. While the 20D overall was an excellent camera and had excellent image quality, it did not have the AF performance for motorsports that my 1D's have. I used to use it as my "day out" camera, and shoot it in one shot per frame, center spot focussing, where it worked fine. I stopped using it because I started feeling increasingly constrained photographically by the crop factor. Also, while excellent, it's image quality was not up to that of the 1D MkII.
