So I am thinking of carrying around another body. I have a 40D but really don't want to pay for another one. Should I pick up a used (or new) XTi or try to find a used 20D. Kind of kicking myself as I sold my 10D when I bought the 40D. I think that the battery compatability alone knocks the XTi out of the picture but I am looking for your advice.

Thanks

You should be able to find a good used 20D around at the moment. Plenty of peoples are upgrading from 20 to 40D. But if you really want to go all out, you can get an excellent deal on the 5D for the time being.

Pick up a good used 20D or 30D and save money. You're going to want at least 5 fps for sports I'd imagine.

I use the 40D and carry an XTI as a second body. My advice would be to go with a 20D or 30D but I guess it has much to do with personal preference.
