You mean the 40D doesn't an external plug so you can plug it into a 110v wall outlet?

Crap. ;)

Those who can't wait for the batteries to charge might want to get Canon ACK-E2 adapter kit. It's also handy for safer sensor cleaning.

I like the battery cartridges that came with the grips for my 30Ds.... they allow you to use AA's in a pinch... ;)

Have fun with your new gear! Be sure to post some photos for us! :D

Hehe, nice1 Michael, i was wondering if anyone would pick up on that little sneaky reference........great film btw :)

As for the 40D, haven't a great deal of time with it yet, but i've managed to post my first (and duck) shot, looks good so far. I must admit though, i was a tiny bit apprehensive/anxious in light of the focusing issues i know others have had with their new 40Ds.

he-he!

It was a pretty cool movie. I was hoping that they would make another sequel, and that's rare for me.

Hope your 40D is a good copy. I would suggest shooting with it as much as possible to see if any issues pop up. I'm on my second body and it is on its second visit to Canon Service. I'm hoping to have it back next week. I think I may have gotten two from the same vendor that were from a batch that weren't quite right. I'm going back and forth as to if I should try for round three or get my money back and wait for a while.

Best,

Michael

Thanks Michael, and yep, now the weekend's here, i'll be giving it a good test run and hopefully no problems. Sorry you're having so much trouble with yours, that sucks big time. As you say though, you may have had 2 from a bad batch. I know it's frustrating, but personally i'd hang on in there, most ppl on here who have a good copy seem to be very happy with it.

Good luck with it Michael, hope you get it sorted out very soon.
