I am NO professional photographer, and I have trouble seeing some of the "focusing issues" others have posted about. Anyway, here is my elderly, but proud, German Shepard Erla Mae. These were taken with my 40-D and my Canon 85 mm 1.8 lens. I think it looks sharp (focus on her eye), others agree??

Very nice photos, everyone. I will get over my laziness and post a few of my own soon.

Calindy: Looks good, but if you really want a definitive answer, allow us to pixel peep a 100% crop ;)

That is one noisy bird. I'd hate to have him sitting outside my window at sunrise. :D

Oh and great photo! :P

What is the ISO for this shot and is this a crop or full frame? Thanks.

I like this shot I took a few weeks at Linvilla Orchard (near Media, PA) because the "building" seems to blend into the sky so well.

That's cool! Looks like a fun spot to take a halloween picture.

Wow! You all are really good photographers and seem to take this thing seriously. I just happened to stumble across this forum because as was doing a Google search to answer some questions I had as regards selling my Rebel XT to get a 40D. I found all my answers on this forum in no time, so I decided to browse and found this thread. Fantastic photos!

I am going to make this my main forum. I'm looking forward to picking your brains and sharing photos with you! Can you all recommend any other good forums?

Thanks for posting up those fantastic pictures!

PS- This is my very first post. :)

I came here after doing a Google search for G7 forums! I then decided to peek in here and now I have a 40D! Don't be surprised to see some of the posters pictures posted here used in advertisments for major companies found elsewhere on the net! The folks here are nice and VERY professional. I have learned a lot here and continue to grow every day.
