I finally got a blower to clean my sensor. I had no idea how dirty my sensor was until today. After using a blower, there is no way I could muster up the courage to use a wet method, I don't know how you guys do it. The sensor is buried in the back of the camera.

Anyways, below are before and after pics (both are at f32). You will notice on the after pic there are still 3 small specks on the left side but it's a heck of a lot cleaner than it was. The moral of the story is, try a blower before using a wet method.

better job than I do with my blower! cool. I have the wet clean kit, original eclipse kit... but didn't use it after all the "don't use it with a 5D" chat... :(

I chose to go with the LensPen SensorKlear for that contact cleaning. But I also do use a Giottos Rocket Blower to make sure I get the larger particles off the sensor before I attempt going over it with the SensorKlear. Most of the times, the RocketBlower gets most of the annoying particles off and I only resort to the LensPen in the worst of circumstances.

Harold,
Good job, mate!
I do think you should do a test shot of your monitor, though. The wall has so much texture it's very hard to see all of the dust specks. Just make the monitor all white, gray or light blue and take your shot at 22.
If your personal comfort threshold has been reached with the blower, that is all well and good. Maybe down the road a bit you'll want to explore other sensor cleaning methods.

How well does the SensorKlear work? I'm not real satisfied with the PecPad/Eclipse cleaning method. It always seems to be worse after I wet clean than before. I'm looking for an alternate method of getting the spots the blower doesn't dislodge.
