 It is with much sadness that we have a situation here that I would like some answers too. Does anyone know of a person that has had a stoke, and left that person with very much reduced sight. This is what has happened to me and was wondering if and when my sight will return to normal, if not, should I sell off all of my gear and call it a day. I have only just had this happen, and have not been able to get some answers from my Specialist.
Any help would be much appreciated. THANK YOU

Wow this is very unfortunate. I would hang in there for a little bit and see if things improve. I have people in my own family that have had strokes and recovered just fine. A doctor really doesn't have the right to tell you your sight will come back to normal if they're not sure and some times it is up in the air. I say to wait because if your sight does come back, you'll have to pay full retail to get everything back and you won't get close to full retail to sell it all.
Best of luck to you and hope things work out for you.

I, too, recommend waiting to see how well you recover. There are too many variables, right now, to answer the question which is probably why the specialist can't answer them either.

Undoubtedly, you'll have PT which might include vision PT.

I'm sorry you experienced a stroke. I know all too well what it does to a person. Both my dad and paternal grandfather had strokes.

Best of luck in your recovery!

It wont your GP should had told you the out come of your stroke. I work in a nursing home and many of my patients has had strokes. Go back t your GP and ask for his advise him may or may not say, it`ll improve but always check with your doctor also contact the British Stroke society they will be able to help you. and please let me know what they say.....
