How many did you get like the one above?
All of them from that perspective and Av - a total of around a dozen or so.

That's too many for a random miss focus. That back-focus is fairly dramatic and appears worse than I get with my lens.

Mine seems to shift less using those AF points. That is my experience also. EOS-1D X Mark II| EOS 5D Mark IV | EOS 80D | EOS-1V HS

And what does the red one mean? They replicate where the AF points lie on a late model 1-series DSLR. The red one is the active point. EOS-1D X Mark II| EOS 5D Mark IV | EOS 80D | EOS-1V HS

Well built. everything ok - as long as I keep clear of the f2-f4 within 3-4 feet range ? f1,2 til f 1,8/2 is ok - ? within that range ? 3-4 feet ? You've got it, generally, I think. The backfocus perhaps peaks around f/2.8, then it starts to get swamped by the increase in DoF. However, not all lens copies behave in the identical way, and some owners report no backfocus observed. All this really means that you should get the lens when you are ready for it, with a return option for sure, give it a spin and see how you like it. thanx a lot all of u Canon 5D Mk II

umphotography grabbing their Johnson More info | I cant get the 50L out of my wifes hands. she uses it a lot but shes also at F/2.0 and above alot.....you start getting down to 1.2-1.8... pretty dam shallow so you better have some shutter speed and be close enough to make things work right. I dont see how people can take a head and shoulders at F/1.2--1.6 and not expect front focus problems. Yes theres exceptions and you can get a few but your gonna get a ton of misses. Mike
