I'm thinking it's due to the lighting in the shot, I would set it up and try to light the shot a different way. That everyday overhead lighting look just makes it dull in my opinion. MichaelBottoms Cream of the Crop 6,297 posts Joined Jan 2007 Location: Whitby Ontario... just outside of Toronto More info | I love the guitar and all things "guitaresque..." I find this picture is really flat... There is very little sense of the three dimensional to it... The background does nothing to help the photo either... Perhaps repeating the photo with a plain background or in front of a sheet and with more dramatic lighting would improve this shot. I'm no expert, these are just my gut feelings... Good luck in your future endeavours Former Pentax & 20D owner... now the pleased owner of the new 50D, 580EX, Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM, Canon EF-S 60mm Macro, Canon EFS 17-85mm F/4-5.6 IS USM, Canon EF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 IS USM, Kenko 1.4X Teleplus Pro 300, Sekonic L-508 Zoom Master Meter, Manfrotto and slik tripods, trekpod and other assorted accessories...

Also, I know the photo is about the guitar, but it seems the main subject of the photo is the amp. Personally, I would've taken a more agressive angle on the guitar, maybe a little closer to centered with more play on DOF. Just my 2 pennies. Justin
