Do You EVER shoot in the dreaded "GREEN BOX ZONE" aka AUTO?

Nope. First day of shooting with my 40D I used the preset modes, i.e. portrait, landscape etc. Second day I used Av/Tv. Ever since I've used M.

I've just looked, and apparently my cameras do have the green box mode. Don't know what it's for though, surel AV means 'auto'?
