First photo I processed in about 5 minutes, the last photo, I took the '5 minute edit' and added another 15 minutes to it, addind some details and textures.

Did I fix what was not broken?

The colours really don't work for me in #1. #2 is superb.

Care to share how you did it?

Yeah the more I look at the first the less I like it. It was a 5 minute edit so Ill make that as an excuse.

I bascily did color curves. Color select and desaturated the green significantly.
Adjusted brightness and contrast. Used a cloth texture, scratched metal texture and a grain layer, then gaussian blurred it a lil. Dodged his right hand. And slapped on my watermark.

Thank you, Ive really been looking fo unique textures. Ive taken more pictures of walls, street, made scans of paper Ive waded up, cloth, blank negative film slides etc etc , than I have actual portraits.

Colors don't work in #1, too "odd" for a lack of better word.
#2 is great tho!

LOL I can definitely say it does NOT look normal/typical...just the colors look odd without anymore processing, like its a bit incomplete in the first one. But we all have different opinions on these things. I think #2 is just fabulous!

No difference of opinions here, I agree I like the second better.

Had to post this in a question and a pole as apposed to just say 'look I did better'.
It got me feedback:) and sparked a lil interest;)

Is a classic example of why I should spend more time in PP.

#2 without a doubt.
