Hello, which lens would complement a 24-70 F2.8 + 5omm F1.8 for weddings and evening shots with a 1D mk2N and MK 3 and to try and get away from using flash as much as possible.

some superfast glass... 1.4 or a 2.8IS (70-200 perhaps)?

It depends on your style, tele or wider. Then on the money you want to spend.

The 50 /1.4 USM is the better choice regarding focusing than the 50 / 1.8 version and you can open it more, which is great. I use this lens a lot on my 5D.

24 / 1.4 L (very pricey)
28 / 1.8 USM
85 / 1.8 USM or the 135 / 2.0 L.
70-200 /2.8 LIS, great lens thanks the IS.

If you have the money and really need 1.2, then a 50 and 85 mm lens are available too.

But always depending on your needs.
