Our most common hummer in Antigua, but very difficult to get close to, the entire species is held within a few islands. The crest in the right light displays some real exotic colours, I couldn't manage to show that in these photos. Thanks for looking!

What a beauty! Excellent shots, very sharp with beautiful b/g's and I love the raised crest!...my only wish would be to see the bird just a bit less centered in the frame and perhaps clone or crop out the oof branch in the first, but this is minor.. :)

He's a beauty!!! The second shot is beautifully composed, but I'd find some way of getting rid of that light brown pole in the first.

Thank you very much guys, your kind comments inspire me to keep snapping away. Downy this isnt the first time cropping has been dodgy, it's something I'll have to wrok on I guess, thanks for the constructive C&C.

Beautiful shots and a real beauty of a bird. Is he a specialized feeder? Looks like a shorter beak than most other hummers.
