Does it really matter?

Exactly what I was thinking.

Yes. Time and Date in my photos are really important.

Why? Date I can understand, but being off an hour. How does it hurt?

I can't speak for the other response, but I often use at least two cameras at events and have to sort and present the final photos in sequence.

I ended up with roughly 900 images from each camera at the last event. One was fitted with 70-200, the other with a 300mm, and I was quickly switching back and forth from one camera/lens combo to the other, as needed.

Only with the cameras' clocks in pretty good sync can the images be "painlessly" sorted this way.

If all three of my DSLRs' clocks were off an equal amount, that wouldn't be a huge problem. But, occasionally someone requests to see photos from something that happened at a particular time, and finding all the related photos can be a lot faster in this case, too.

Yup, they changed it last year and also up here in Canada. It created quite the havoc in our 911 centre.

OK, makes sense now.
