I don't doubt that there is a problem with some of the MK3s and the AF system. My problem is that I can't find it, which might mean that I'm just not trying hard enough or I'm lucky and got a good one. If it is this good with the problem, just how impressive will it be once it is fixed?

Today's attempts come from standing in the rain at Wellington Kart Club for Round 1 of the Goldstar Series. The rain varried from clouds of dirzzle to sheets of water. Of the 300 or so images taken only a few were out of focus - no more than usual and way less than with the 20D.

All done at ISO200 - TV Mode 1/320 and anything from F2.8 up to F5.6 depending on the light with a 300 F2.8 IS, always in AI Servo Mode and with the drive on High.

Very nice work Dave

I'm the same with the Mk3, I can't seem to get a shot out of focus! So when the fix comes in, will it grab the focus 10min in the future? Now that would be impressive

Love #3. Sideways action at it's best. :) All very good shots Dave.

It still surprises me seeing the Clubman karts with wets on. When I raced them in the mid 90's we were only allowed to run slicks, regardless of the weather!!

Currently just a P&S, but watch this space.

Got around to the post processing today - all of the ones above are straight out of the camera except #5 which has now been processed. 3 More from the same event below all post tweaking.
