I don't doubt that there is a problem with some of the MK3s and the AF system. My problem is that I can't find it, which might mean that I'm just not trying hard enough or I'm lucky and got a good one. If it is this good with the problem, just how impressive will it be once it is fixed?
Today's attempts come from standing in the rain at Wellington Kart Club for Round 1 of the Goldstar Series. The rain varried from clouds of dirzzle to sheets of water. Of the 300 or so images taken only a few were out of focus - no more than usual and way less than with the 20D.
All done at ISO200 - TV Mode 1/320 and anything from F2.8 up to F5.6 depending on the light with a 300 F2.8 IS, always in AI Servo Mode and with the drive on High.
