Status on 40D Rebate US

Hi Everybody

I have been gone so I haven't been able to keep up. I just glanced and couldn't see anything about this subject. I am aware that a while back the Rebate was only in UK and I think even Europe.

Anything yet for the US yet

there were rebates released here but none for cameras

Canon 1DMKII, 7D, 5DMKII, 1D MKII
Canon 500L, 100-400L, 70-200 2.8L, 17-40L, 24-105L, 24mm 2.8,50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 135mm 2.8 SF, 100mm Macro

The camera was just introduced and is in great demand. Why would you expect rebates?

I am not making any demand nor assuming that there is going to be one, but let's face it
UK and European markets have offered a rebate in spite of the great demand and popularity

Oh thanks, but I was trying to see if I could use the rebate for the purchase I made last month. I checked the discussion thread you sent me but it's for those who are looking for a place to buy a 40D now.
