Well the malls are starting to already decorate for christmas some stores were even playing some christmas music.

So with that, what does everyone plan on asking for, hoping for or just getting in general?

Im not sure what i might want. I dont think I need anything in terms of lenses. Well maybe the 100-400 f/4 IS, but thats on the wish list.

Carbon fiber tripod or a good panoramic head setup.
maybe the 50 f/1.4 if i sell the 1.8, kit lens and a few other things.
a true macro lens with extension tubes.
Photoshop CS3 upgrade from PS7 or the PSE6 upgrade from my pse2.

What i may ask for is the for a nice new printer either a canon pixma or the epson R1800. Not sure if you can still do regular printing with those or not.
And a canon flatbed scanner so i can scan the thousands of negatives and slides from my fathers photo collection.

I'm taking a cruise with my mom for Christmas this year. That will our present to each other so its a win-win! I get a vacation and one less person to shop for!

With any luck, I'll get another gift certificate to B&H from my Aunt who seems to be the only one who understands I like photography.

It's the same here in Canada. Malls are starting to get crazy and the decorations are already out in stores!

I've never had the chance to ask for camera equipment over Christmas, so this year I probably will.

I think I'm going to ask for some of the following things:

A new Striplight and a grid for it.
Set of grids for the lights
A pelican case to carry all my lighting.
Maybe a beauty dish

And the one thing I always ask for that I may not get, but if some miracle happens, I may..

A Medium Format. Something like a Mamiya645

I'm sure there is more, but I have just forgotten.

I am getting a new lens for Christmas. Either the 135L or the 70-200 f4 IS. I can't make up my mind which one I want.

It's not truly Christmas season until the first Chia Pet or Clapper ad appears on TV...

I don't shop at the malls, I listen to XM radio, I skip the commercials with my DirecTivo, and I don't decorate my office space - so it's not Christmas until I say so. :)

Christmas to me is more about spending time with family and friends. Besides, everything I want is too expensive to ask for as a gift. :)
