Hello I would like some honest answers and critique on all the photos linked or at least as many as you wish to comment on.

All photos are untouched mostly because I have no photo shop skills :(

I will start with a quick couple photos from Harajuku

Gallery (external link) of rest of photos

The Next is a photo I seem to enjoy and working of collecting more of for a Homeless gallery I'm working on. The first is the Original. 2nd is a close crop. 3rd is a trim of the org picture. I do not like the 3rd because it cuts of the artist signature and paw. (but wife likes it the best)

3rd (external link)

The last is a dozen or so photos I took upon the top of Landmark tower the day before. I really enjoy the photos, especially the nighttime photos and find them stunning in detail. Shame they are not larger but I kept em small to save on time. If you would like to see a larger or full size version of any just ask I can post or email. I hope some of the following photos catch your eye or make you wish to visit someday.

Aside from some of the lil imperfection due to the fact that I am quite an novice photographer. (exposure, uneven horizon, etc)

Feel free to let loose and altar the images for me :)

Enjoy

Homeless guy: I think both the original and the close crop are nice. I don't know which I prefer. However, to make your wife happy, here is way to get the effect of #3 (removing the top left) without losing anything else important.

(1) Open the image in Photoshop.
(2) Select the crop tool.
(3) Drag the crop tool to cover the entire image (as if you were not going to crop anything at all).
(4) Make sure the box at the top marked "perspective" is checked.
(5) Hold down shift, and drag the top left corner in until you get the angle you want cutting out the section that is not the wall.
(6) Hit return.

That should crop out the side you don't like, while correcting the perspective to make sure the picture is still squared off. I gave it a quick go, and it doesn't distort things too much with that shot.

Hi,

I am fairly new at this stuff too but IMHO, the first set of images look
somewhat washed out. PS may help you in this area. Also, the
images look somewhat flat due to the lighting. Obviously you
have to work with what you have for candid stuff which makes
it difficult. A handheld flash might have helped (not sure about this).

In some cases, the sky was overexposed. Again PS might have
helped by allowing you to combine bracketed shots. You can
check out http://www.luminous-landscape.com …s/blended_exposures.shtml (external link)
for some hints.
