I was wondering if there is a downfall to buying lenses out of the U.S.
They are so much cheaper from B&H, it makes it hard to buy them here.
One more question, can you get a US rebate if you live in canada?

I have bought almost all my gear from B&H, even when the Cdn dollar was weak it was worth the exchange due to Cdn retail prices being unjustifiably high. Now that the dollar is on par or stronger there is even less reason to buy locally. When prices come down to reflect equal pricing between Canadian and US retailers I'll start supporting the locals.

I just picked up a 70-200 f/4L IS for $1100 from them. It was about $100 more than from B&H but I got to try the lens in the shop and they have a 14 day exchange policy if you are not happy with what you buy. My flickr page
