Will never complain about the price of a lens again! I actually saw something similar for the construction of a 400mm f2.8 IS or some such lens.You can see where your money is going!

Very interesting video; thanks for posting the link.

I wonder if they did a follow-up programme featuring some enraged photographer repeatedly photographing household items and cursing at the resulting images on his computer screen before packaging the lens up and sending it back for exchange.

6 weeks to complete just 1 lens? hmm looks like its more of a company creating specialized lenses rather than consumer stuff like Canon.

If you look at the video lenses on B&H you will see that the cheapest of them go for more than the 600L.

Yep it wouldnt be cost effective to invest that much time into making something like a 50mm f/1.4, im sure they have a quicker way for mass production, high end lenses like what you said is a different matter.
