#1 Expression of the guy leaves a lot to be desired. Fill flash was required as well.
#2 Are those balloons above her head? Pay attention to the background. Selective color draws the eye away from the subjects of the photo, which is taking an overused technique and using it inappropriately.
#3/#4 - nice enough, watch your exposure.
#5 Again his expression is terrible, and he's looking the wrong way - either at the camera or at her is best. Midnight sepia is way overused. Nice lighting.

I agree with Tim for the exposure, selective color and midnight sepia. On top of that, I would like to add that the smoothing effect in the first and last pictures makes them look a little fake.

I really love the shot of the little girl. It's slightly underexposed, but could probably be lightened up in Photoshop or Lightroom.

The tie of the FOB made me laugh!

You are on the right track. Keep posting and practicing! :)

Some nice shots in general, but nothing earth shattering. You need to work on your PP and as most pictures are flat and some effects are too strong and overdone.

Great, thanks for the comments. I definitelly agree with the comment about the balloons, and several other comments. As far as the groom, his expression seemed the same the entire time, so other than finding a model stand in, not quite sure how I could have improved on it.

that is the challenge in this. Wedding shooting is not only knowing how to set shutter and aperture, and know when to squeeze the trigger, and then know how to process them afterwards... that is all the EASY part. The BIGGEST part of it is your personality and social skills. It is your job to bring out the best in your clients. The vast vast majority of our clients have never done a professional photo shoot before, and are not models. (school photos don't count!) We need to interact with them in order to make them LOOK like models. make them relax, make them ENJOY the shoot. You'll have countless couples come to you and say, "We HATE getting our pictures taken." These are the types that typically run away when any camera comes out. And they gotta look just as good as a couple who might both be models and outgoing and naturally relaxed infront of the camera.

absoulutely spot on, i've also found that couples closer to my own age (27) are more relaxed, and therefore more likely to produce relaxed, natural, fun photos.
