Along a similar line as the thread of 'What's your lens line up?'
I thought it would be interesting to see what lenses folks have
owned but have since parted ways with, no need to list those
that you moved and replaced, just the ones that didn't stay put :)

24mm f/2.8 (boring)
Sig 30mm f/1.4 (loved it and will rebuy one)
50mm f/1.8 (erratic AF)
50mm f/1.8 (better, but still erratic)
50mm f/1.4 (replaced with 85mm)
17-40L (loved it, but f/4 too slow for weddings)
17-85IS (piece of ****)
70-200 f/4L (great lens, traded up to f/2.8)
70-200 f/2.8L (great lens, traded across to lighter f/4IS)

Parted with the nifty50, and 58/1.4 Nikkor, replaced with the 50mkI
Parted with my Nikkor 35/2 (in my bag since 1968 ), replaced with the Canon version
Parted with a 90-300mm Tamron and 75-300 Canon, replaced with 300/4.5 MF Nikkor
Parted with a 135/2.8 MF Nikkor, replaced with a newer (lighter/more compact) version
I just picked up a 180/2.8 MF Nikkor and will probably let my 200/4 go, another lens I've had since 68...
The only one I may regret letting go of is the 58/1.4...only because it was my widest aperture...my feeling is that with Canon's great, noise free high ISO, F:2 will suffice...once I get that 40/5D I'm lusting for...

My Canon kit 450D/s90; Canon lenses 18-55 IS, 70-210/3.5-4.5....Nikon kit: D610; 28-105/3.5-4.5, 75-300/4.5-5.6 AF, 50/1.8D Nikkors, Tamron 80-210; MF Nikkors: 50/2K, 50/1.4 AI-S, 50/1.8 SeriesE, 60/2.8 Micro Nikkor (AF locked), 85mm/1.8K-AI, 105/2.5 AIS/P.C, 135/2.8K/Q.C, 180/2.8 ED, 200/4Q/AIS, 300/4.5H-AI, ++ Tamron 70-210/3.8-4, Vivitar/Kiron 28/2, ser.1 70-210/3.5, ser.1 28-90; Vivitar/Komine and Samyang 28/2.8; 35mm Nikon F/FM/FE2, Rebel 2K...HTC RE UWA camera

Since 1967, I have sold one camera - a Yashicamat 6x6 twin-lens reflex. Other than that, I still own absolutely every camera and lens that I have purchased since 1967.

Until I got the D30/D10 a year ago I hadn't sold one item gotten since 68 when I upgraded my 85 and 200 nikkors...until I got Canon DSLRs....but sold 2 F bods and an FM3a which plus the above sold lenses paid for all my Canon gear...and then some...it's all your fault, all of you...
(I guess at this time I should admit to selling off my 50yr-old Hassleblad gear to help fund my honeymoon...and I don't regret that a bit...)

Wow, compared to most of you guys, I didn't sell much Canon gear.

Bodies:
EOS 1000N (film) - too crappy, replaced by the amazing EOS 3.
EOS 300D (Digital Rebel) - Replaced by a 30D

Bags:
LowePro slingshot (couldn't fit the 70-200/4 in it mounted on camera)
Some nifty Tamrac holster bag (never used it, tend to either bring all my stuff with me, or leave it all at home and grab my IXUS 850 IS)

Lenses:
18-55 EF-S kit lens (never found it real bad, i liked it, replaced by faster glass)
28-80 4-5.6 USM (not as bad as I thought it would be, came in the EOS 3 deal)
100mm Macro (great lens, but was only rarely used, there are better choices for 100mm non-macro work)

Happy shooting!
