American Bittern

This is the last of my shots from my Green Cay trip. I waited about a half hour to get this shot, watching the grass carefully where i knew he was hiding, after carefully watching for a long time i watched as my elusive target raised his head out of the foliage to have a look around, he stayed up for a good three minutes during which i took about 100 pictures of him, this one was my favorite. This was my first time seeing a Bittern and i was extremely pleased to find him!
