Can you post a side-by-side example where PP sharpening is superior in every case? I did this test in my photo editor, and determined that the amount of sharpening (due to Canon's anti-aliasing filter) was the same in every photo. I'm not talking about custom sharpening where you have camera shake or other photo-by-photo correction that's needed. I'm talking about a general preference for reducing the anti-aliasing filter in every photo.
Using my editor, the effects were identical. Having the camera do it has virtually eliminated me having to do one more step in PP. People say there are equipment snobs, I say there are PS snobs. I've heard a photog say he would NEVER let the camera do anything, only HE can do it on post. Geez.

I don't add any sharpening on any cameras, I like to control that in post. I use PhotoKit Sharpener, it has a 3 step workflow, and provides a very fine degree of control with layers.
