Hello everyone. Just wanted to say hi. I am a very amateur photographer. I have a Canon Rebel G (film) camera, but never took the time to learn it, as I hated messing with film. However, I found myself very often taking picture with a point and shoot digicam I have. I love the instant gratification, but hate the low quality. So now I am waiting on a Digital Rebel to be delivered. Can't wait!

Hi Lurch77,

Congratulations on your decision to get the D-SLR and welcome to this forum.

The Brave New World to which Tom refers is how brave you are when using your little plastic friend to finance your wishes for "just another lens/accessory/memory"

Well, I must say I am not new to that world. Just not with lenses. Yet. Luckily I have a great financial adviser. I call her 'wife'. She definitely has ways to control my spending habits. LOL Thanks for the welcomes. :)

I'm sure once the upgrade bugs bites, you'll see how creative you are in finding a way around any "obstacle".

Welcome to our passion... our addiction. There is no escape... resistance is futile...
