I'm torn between the two, but I would agree about the comment re: B&W. I think these shots really lend themselves to B&W.

#2 for me definitely. The vertical orientation compliments the lines of the trees.

Only criticism would be the blown out area in the middle. Otherwise great shots.

Those tree shades make a wonderful lead-in for the eye.

Very hard to choose. I look at one and like it better than the other. Then I change my mind. . .then change my mind again. . . .
When you go back take a graduated ND filter. If you can take those photos without blowing out the sky they will be powerful. Don't forget to post 'em when you do.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I also tried a black and white, and surprisingly, it didn't come out looking all that great. Who knew. I suppose a sepia or antique look wouldn't work? Unfortunately, my post processing is limited as this was taken with a 4.1 mp point and shoot, but I've made plans to head back up there next month, so I'll take my current setup with me.
