That funny, because he previously was in Arizona shooting at the wave with a 5D.

It sure seems like the beginning of a switch, but I'm not sure anything like that would happen. Nikon has tons of money relying on him. Though it would be interesting to see.

I don't understand this sentence from Scott's blog:

All the shots were imaged on Lexar digital film.

Can someone enlighten me?

He's plugging for Lexar. Nothing more.

I think I figured it out. Lexar refers to their memory cards as "digital film."

Cute.

I guess that makes my computer a friggin' digital art museum.

Yeah. Delkin does something similar...calling it eFilm. I tried to sell my laptop for an overinflated price, calling it the e-Louvre, but nobody bit. :(

It seems Canon might be winning him over. HE LOVES the MKIII. Be nice to have a very well known guru such as him 'plugging' Canon now all the time....

Q. What did you think of the Canon 1D Mark III?
A. Remember when I talked about shooting the Canon 5D, and how I had two big gripes: (1) The shutter felt funky—almost a bit too digital, and (2) the LCD didn’t have full screen highlights warnings? Well, both of my gripes have been addressed in the Mark III, and it was an absolute joy. I don’t have a single complaint—it absolutely rocked (and the battery life is just incredible. I shot with it today at a studio in Manhattan for four hours, and I still haven’t recharged since before Sunday’s shoot).

. Did you ditch your Nikon gear?
A. I still have all my Nikon gear, but it’s the old stuff (D200, D2xs, etc.). I haven’ t decided what I’m going to do yet, but I can tell you this, right now I’m really loving that Mark III. I love the way it renders fleshtone, and the way it handles things that are red (like the Buc’s jerseys), is really wonderful. I wish I felt a little more comfortable with all the controls, but it’s getting more comfortable every day.

He mostly uses Nikon because that's one of the "Photoshop User TV" main sponsors... wouldn't be a very correct business policy to have one sponsor and use/advertise a machine from the competition... it's all about marketing...

That wasn't "addressed" with the Mark III. Even my 1D II has full screen highlight blinkies and the shutter is just different than other cameras.
