Yeah I think the 5D with grip is big enough for most people, also you have the choice of making it smaller by taking the grip off if you want, something the MKIII cant do.

Since I purchased it, I no longer look in the rumors section to see what new cameras might be coming. I really don't care what upgrade they come out with, this is all the camera I need (for now). Got mine a week ago, really happy with it - but I still don't think it's the right camera for me... both because I feel I need the crop and my 100-400 and 70-200 vignette terribly on it. But still, I'm keeping it - the vignetting on the photos is not something I don't feel I cannot fix with Photoshop. Photos I take just are aren't finished until I give it a pass through Photoshop, devignetting in Photoshop is no problem and the corners of my images almost never have any important detail in them. I do get some vignetting on my 17-40L at the 17 end of the lens but its completely manageable in PP. What I'm truly enjoying though is the better focus I can achieve with it thanks to the larger, brighter viewfinder and its superior low light performance...for the first time being able to take sharp, night time, hand held shots with my EF50 f/1.4 without a flash!
