Attaching AB to ceiling

I'm thinking about getting an AB (probably another B800, I already have one B800 for main) for the background light. Since I'm using a small room, there's no room for a boom for the background light. Has anyone tried attaching an AB light to the ceiling? Thanks.

Your only issue would be changing power settings.

If you have an AB remote, then no problems

Well, the ceiling is only about 9 ft high, so a stool should fix that problem.

Just remember that if you want to add a softbox or anything to it, it will come down alot in height. At least 9ft you have about 2 1/2 feet before you will see it in frame behind a tall guy.

There are rail systems and spring-loaded hangers available for ceiling mounts (see this post). If you generally try to shoot a certain aperture and adjust the lighting to that aperture, you probably won't need to mess with the background light too much.
