Battery Grip for EOS D30 (not 30D) Question

I recently went online and ordered a battery grip for my EOS D30 (not 30D). I ordered the Canon BG-E2N and later found out that this model doen't fit the D30 and that I need to find the BG-E2 (minus the 'N').

Does anyone know where I can find a Canon BG-E2 Battery Grip? I've been searching the Net and I only see the battery grip for the 30D.

Canon told me they still make them and I could buy one, but their own website doesn't even sell it.

I've checked E-Bay and Amazon but with no luck. I've Googled it and it only gives me options for the 30D and the BG-E2N.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

ok 1st there is no such thing as a Canon D30. its either a Canon 30D, or you have a nikon D30. lol

in which case the Canon battery grip will obviously NOT work with a Nikon Camera. 2nd if you have a 30D then the BG-e2N grip will work fine with your camera because it is the exact same grip as the one made for the 20D and 30D just with weather sealing.

you might want to look at the top of your camera because the way your talking you have a nikon lol

Wrong, the first Canon Pro-Am SLR Camera was the D30.

The grip for the D30 also fits a D60 and 10D.
I'll bet you can find one on E-Bay if you look.
D30, D60, 10D...Same Grip

The Canon D30 was Canon's first consumer priced DSLR. It used the BG-ED3 (the Big Ed) grip. The same grip was used on the D60 and the 10D. I owned the D30 and when I sold it I kept the grip and put it on my 10D. The grips sold, IIRC, for about $180 new. The only way you can get one now, I suspect, is used via e-Bay or some other online shop. My 10D and grip will soon be for sale, so I might see what I can get for them separately.
