Hi all!

This is my first post, I ran across the site while surfing the web.

I'm the happy owner of a new 40D that I bought yesterday as a birthday present to myself. I'm impatient so I went to a Wolf Camera locally but overall I am happy with the purchase.

I look forward to talking more with all of you.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Once I have time to look through the forums more I will post some of my work. I only do photography as a hobby but I have steady work, both photography and writing, across 10-15 magazines.

Nice birthday present.  Welcome to the forum.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Rick, I jumped ship from the G series to the EOS a short time ago when I bought a 40. The folks on this site are just great and you can learn a lot. But I would be remiss if I did not warn you of the disease that prevails here. It is called GAS. No matter how much money you spend trying to cure yourself, there is no known cure! Beware if you see you are smiling a lot. Its the first stage of the disease.

Welcome!
