Hey everyone,

My friends of mine wanted some photos done, and I wanted some experience, and this is the outcome from today. I have never done much of any photography except for concerts, and some stuff around the house. This was my first time doing portraits. I just wanted to see what you all thought, and if I could possibly start making money off of this in the near future? C+C appreciated :D

You got some very nice pics of your friends. They look very cute and in love :)

A couple of nitpicks, if you don't mind:
I don't like the WB in #s 1,3 and 5. Either go B&W or change to what you did in the last two.
I think #6 is great except for her bra strap showing and the arch over her head.

Well done though :)

Haha, thank you! Yea, I did one general white balance under the canopy, and I should have done it seperately for all of them. And I felt the same about the arch. Thank you for the comments :)

The white-balance issues aside, I feel like these could stand to be a lot more dynamically posed and composed. The backgrounds are also fairly distracting in most of the shots-- the busyness of the leaves really draws the eye away from the couple, especially in the looser shots.

Like Bea said, the first thing that stuck out was the WB in 1,3 and 5, fix that first of all.

#1...a bit more blur on the BG would have been better IMO.
#2...the conversion isn't bad...the pose is ok but could be improved, she's leaning in on him but there's still a space, like she's keeping her distance to him.
#3 isn't bad, only so much you can do with a kissing photo I guess. ;) Better BG blur on this one than the first.
#4 isn't bad either...those glasses in her back pocket bugs me tho. And the conversion isn't bad either.
#5 I like this one...fix the WB and it would be good.
#6 my favorite...I agree about the arch but aside from that its my favorite and a nice portrait to me!
#7 isn't bad either, zoom in a little and I'd say away from centering things too much...other than that not bad.

Keep it up Brandon, with a little processing you're off to a good start!

My gear list finally got too long to list under my sig.

"I hate cameras. They are so much more sure than I am about everything."
