I took a recent trip out to Elkhorn Slough about 20 miles north of Monterey. I took lots of Brown Pelican and other bird photos too (those that know me know I mostly hang out in the Birds forum), but I haven't gotten around to processing those yet. Anyhow, after culling the stinkers out, I was still left with quite a number of "keepers". Here are 7 of those. I wanted to post 8 images, but somehow, something else in this post got interpreted as an image *frown*!

All images here were taken handheld with my 20D. All but one were using the 500mm f/4L IS. The other image was with the 400mm f/5.6L. As usual, all EXIF data should be intact.

C&C encouraged and welcomed.

Thanks for the kind words. It is definitely cool to watch a raft of these guys. Very anthropomorphic.

We used to live in Monterey in the Mid 80's to early 90's - brings back great memories of the little furballs! Thanks.
