Typical excellent image from a lens I love to shoot. This image looks like it may be a bit over saturated or too high contrast but it's quite nice. The image is crisp and clean with wonderful bokeh. She's a cutie for sure.

You'll love the lens, it's heavy but worth every ounce.

That is a great shot and should be on a card. :) I love that lens. Can't imagine life without it now. I have it in my bag most of the time, ready to go. Congrats, and by all means, really play with it!

Too early for Christmas pix! LOL
I love the colors and the BG blur. Nice...I'm jealous.

I like the shot, I don't like the white stripe in the background. I am sure there will be plenty more to critique with your "new' lens. Congrats.

Well, if I compare it with my first shots with my 70-200, it's great! My first shots were all blurry from shake or out of focus or whatever. I learned that even with the IS, I could NOT hand-hold at 200mm, 2.8, and 1/15th and get a decent image...LOL...

Very nice. A vertical crop might be better plus a fill flash for some catchlight in the eyes.
Have fun! I wish I had one.

Looks like you nailed the focus, but I agree with the advice on cropping. I'll look forward to more of your posts once you've had that chance to play - I love mine, it's a fantastic lens.
