Hello,
I just received a new Canon 5D.
Here's a weird thing:
When I spin the menu wheel the set button moves with it.
Is this normal? Here are two pictures:

Well...I don't have a 5D, I have a 10D and have used a 20D....which both do the same thing. I'm assuming the 5D would be also. Maybe a bad assumption..?

Heh! That's funny:)!

I think "moves a little" could be accurate, in other words the button cover has a little give to it and it might move right along with the wheel, or move slower, or, if it decided to, not move at all. They are button covers, not the contact itself, and they can move as much as they want. The letters on my 5D and 30D are worn and barely visible, so I never noticed before.

Happens with my 20D, no issue as far as I can see ;)

(as in, rotates with the wheel)

The "Set" button will rotate with the wheel. This applies to all models with the Quick Control Dial with integrated "set" button (10D/20D/30D/40D/5D/1D3)

The obsessive-compulsive among us routinely roll it back to an upright position once the camera's shut off, though..
