I suppose the query is pretty much explained but ill outline a little more.
ive just bought a 400d with the standard 18-55mm lens but im also looking to get the EOS 300 which is a pretty simple analog...instead of buying this analog with the standard lens too, i was wondering if i could use the lens i have with my 400D with the analog as well to save on money?
thanks for any help!!!
No you can not. The 400D kit lens is an EF-S lens. The EF-S lens was designed for small-framed digital cameras only, such as the 400D and the 30D/40D. It won't play with 35mm cameras, film or digital.
on the other hand, any EF lens that you get to use with your EOS film camera will work with the 400D, although you'll notice the film camera will get a wider field of view than will the 400D.
Hope this helps!
