Bought a Western Digital 500GB My Book Premium ES Edition { USB 2.0 & eSATA } External Hard Drive for my PC
Holy Cow, this is a great storage device, paid $143 US delivered from Buydig.com.
So nice to get my files off my little portable hard drive and PC hard drive and on to this puppy. Was really easy, just plug it in, 5 minutes later I had another 500gig's
just thought I'd post what I thought is a great product for a great price.

No worries. Kinda nice because it lets you start to do some price matching now.

Agree, I've got 2 of the 500GB Essential editions and ordered two more yesterday". They go for £75 GBP each, here in the UK.

Yup that's what I have, I do have a question, anyone have any issues disconnecting it from their laptop/computer? Mine keeps telling me that it's being used when nothing is running to make it be used. The MyBook is supposed to shut down when your computer shuts down which it does but I prefer to plug it in an out whenever I choose too and I prefer to do it where I can "safely remove the device" in the task menu.

Yes, mine sometimes acts funny too. I click on "safetly remove hardware" or whatever, and it says it's being used.

I'm happy with mine, got a good deal on it and it saved me lots of grief when my PC crashed this summer!!!

To be precise, the Target BF ads are for WD 500gb external drives. However, these are not their My Books.

You will find that Seagate and WD hard drives are almost compatable performance wise, however Seagate offers a 5 year warrenty against WD's 1 year. I know what one i'd buy.
