I am getting error 99 and my shutter sounds funny (could be just me):rolleyes:
so far i have been able to shut off the 20d and back on and it works

How many actuations? My 20D made a strange shutter noise in a bunch of clicks last year, it went away soon and hasn't come back.

But the Error99 is strange - never got that one so I cannot help.
