A stock non-M E46 will easily beat your standard Civic Si, Scion, etc. to 60, and in the quarter mile. It'll also get you more tail .

Only 330 would beat Honda SI, 325 not really.

Better hope it's an XI, the slowest of the bunch...

'06 BMW 325XI - 0-60 = 6.5, ¼-mi = 15.0 @ 91.4

And you better hope you're in an '06 si...

'02 Honda Si - 0-60 = 7.6, ¼-mi = 15.9 @ 87.8
'04 Honda Si - 0-60 = 7.9, ¼-mi = 16.0 @ 87.0
'06 Honda Si - 0-60 = 6.6, ¼-mi = 15.0 @ 95.6
'07 Honda Si - 0-60 = 6.8, ¼-mi = 15.1 @ 94.0

In the real world, it's up to the driver, of course, but in general, the Bimmer is going to be the quicker car.

1971 Ford Escort - stripped out inside, lowered on uprated coilovers/brakes, quickrack steering, LSD, fully modified/pro built 2.1 pinto on twin 48's dyno'd at 195 brake in a small, light motor is fun ;)

when the engine was in my mates Escort [he had it built] in a magazine feature/shootout it ran a just sub 6 second 0-60 & he's got 1/4 mile slips from Santa Pod in the mid 13's

damn i can't wait to get it back on the road again!!!!

I might be my bad, but I thought that e46 was produce till 2005, and was replace in 2006 by e90-93.
A 2002-2005 325i/xi/Ci/it gets 0-60 in 7.3s

You're right that at 0.01s is about the driver and the car(how well maintain is) but the true is that you don;t get too much performance for the price difference.

You're correct, I was thinking M3, which was still the E46 body style in 2006.
