I love the look of these modifications. They're so American. I've never owned a Japanese road-going motorcycle but I would ride this one!

Big dreams, small wallet.

Just quickly to explain: Yes, I am the owner and nowhere does it say my images are okay to edit. Those are the rules here and I'm sure you would be quick to react in the same position. I would have been within my rights to ask that those edited images be removed but I didn't. I'm not totally humourless. That's the thing about the written word; it's difficult to convey the exact tone in which I typed my reply and it didn't read well without the obligatory 'smileys'.

I hope that clears it up. :D

I does help to maintain a sense of humor around here, but I have to agree that the IMAGE POSTING RULES do not allow editing of someones images unless the OP has specifically allowed it.

Another frequently violated provision is this one:

When quoting posts that have photos, please take a minute to remove the [IMG] tags, or just remove the reference to the photo altogether. There's no reason to have the same photo quoted time and again in a thread.

FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
Classic Carz, Racing, Air Show, Flowers.
Find the light... A few Car Lighting Tips, and MOVE YOUR FEET!
Have you thought about making your own book? // Need an exposure crutch?
New Image Size Limits: Image must not exceed 1600 pixels on any side.

Thanks! It's far from done, but I'm liking how things have come along so far.

Gee, you have been busy.

Unlike a lot of forum members, I did actually read the rules when joining so I'm a genuine offender and I apologise. However, the quoting rule is broken so many times throughout this forum, I believe most members think that it is okay to do it. Maybe the mods could get together on this and submit a blanket reminder in all areas rather than just the one. Not everybody comes here.

When it's perfected, the new forum software will fix the problem without our input. Good idea, though.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...I most certainly would not have reacted the same way in your position. I would have been the one finding it the funniest...but, people are different, I understand that.

You are right, it would have been in your rights to ask for the picture to be removed and I'm sure people will not edit your photos in the future. :) Have a great day and enjoy your Ute! :)

Nice shot, but I have to ask... Multiple exposures edited together? Maybe it's just me, but the stars and the strong shadows/even lighting (from a source that appears to be opposite to the light standard) just don't add up. Whatever you did came out well...I'm just curious as to what you did. :)

I love night skies over day shots. Most of the time it doesn't work, unless you really play up the moonlight thing, which I tried to do here. It's supposed to look "other-worldly". Shot was done at high-noon, and a night sky laid over it.

The horrible gas mileage? The fact that it won't fit into a standard garage? The amount it pollutes? Shall I go on? ;)

Fair enough, though it isn't quite as bad as one would expect. For long haul trips (it's not my daily driver), I'm getting 17-20 MPG, depending on grade and low-sulfur diesel is relatively clean compared to the old stuff.

As for trails, I generally stay in wide open areas....dry lakes, sand dunes, etc. Definitely not as nimble as my old Land Rover, but passenger and cargo capacity was the trade off.
