It's my second one. I recently got the itch to pick up a corvette Z06. :)

I was thinking so(from back when I was mega active on s2ki). Was a CO in the middle TN area for a while.

I wish I still had my second one.

C4 - I wanted awd for the winter - was daily driver all year for past 3 years, now only light use in winter :)
Got lucky, found it locally just before the market went nuts!

Same, same, same. Guards red 964 C2. I could have bought one in '09 for half of what they go for now. C5 Z06 was $15k, and an '05 STI has been $15k for the last 6 years or more. I have a sneaking suspicion we will see that crazy market again... Auto manufacturers are in a big ole bubble again, and I don't even feel bad this time.

Thanks - I hope to keep it for a long time - purchased it with a few nice engine and suspension upgrades, so right now, it's replace worn items as they pop up and enjoy it as much as I can! I hear you on getting in before the bubble starts to grow - I missed out on a 993 C4S which tripled in price in 6 years from when I considered it. I even looked at a couple of lotus Esprits and other collectibles before they started steadily going up again. Have been looking for a convertible 968 - but missed the window on those it seems too. At least now my wife realizes I'm not entirely crazy and listens to me more seriously when I mention an "interesting" car we may want to look at! :) Heck a little while ago another 964 came up locally and she asked if we should go see it!! (She drives the car too sometimes)

The bubble is now. There is pain coming, so IMO, keep your powder dry. ;)

My hoopty again. I need to get out and snap some different shots. I've had it less than 2 weeks, it's old ('04), but I love it sofa-king much. Should have gotten one long ago.
I'm just waiting for a snowstorm now, lol.

The 4Runner looks pristine. I was looking for a 4 runner (one of my all-time favourite SUVs next to the old Land Rover Defender 100) or Xterra in a manual tranny before finding the Element (also manual tranny). I'd love a FJ40, but the blind spot is HUGE - and would likely be the car my son eventually learns to drive on so not a good combination...

I was looking at those very same vehicles, lol. Wanted an Xterra for the 3rd pedal, but was kind of put-off by some things I'd read. Still like those things though, no doubt. Also was looking for an AWD Element with 3 pedals (just got rid of my EP3) but couldn't find much locally. I've always wanted a Toyota truck, but the barrier to entry is very high as you know. I got the overland itch a few years back and this should help get my feet wet. Fortunately I live in a place with lots to see (and photograph) - I already have my little tent in the back, ready to go. Haha.
