Welcome aboard! But really, don't be so sensitive ...... i looked and looked for the wise-assness above, and couldn't find it. Some people are just to-the-point, i really don't think he was being insulting. It all depends on how YOU take it.

Thanks for posting the question though, i learned more about live view than i thought i knew!

You're probably right Emjay. My apologies to everyone for my outburst. Also, my apologies to Keith R if I misinterpreted the intention of your comment. Just seemed to me like he was trying to imply that I should look it up myself on Google instead of posting my question here ...anyway, 'nuff-a-that!

I have a commitment from a prospective buyer to take my Rebel XT off my hands this coming Friday and I wanna go pick up my 40D IMMEDIATELY so I can check out this Live View thing (among other cool new features)... but B&H closes very early on Fridays and reopens on Sunday... same with Adorama! Grrr. Still really excited though! Thanx for all your comments!

Welcome, and I am sure that you will find this to be a helpful place.

The moderators occasionally gently remind members to re-read the rules, especially rule 4.9 -- "If you know an answer to a question either answer it or say nothing. Giving newbies blunt answers like "search the forum" is not allowed - please use the typing effort to giving the answer instead. Or just give the link to that post you wished the newbie should have searched for. Respect newbies - you were a newbie once".

A link to an outside source is useful information since it may, otherwise, not be known. On the other hand, the ditto post served no useful purpose and it is understandable that your hackle was raised.
