The detail you see in laying it out by being able to zoom in isn't available when looking at the static page. If there isn't concern for amount of pages I would spread it out more. Crissa

It's not great work, I find it quite ugly, and there's no way i'd show it to a customer. The photos are decent enough, but very formal mostly. I only looked at the first 8 pages, the links to some of the later ones are incorrect/broken. You should have posted double pages so we can see how each opening looks, rather than have us try to work out which two match up. Honestly you've done the same thing that most people do, and post up here, but you haven't done a search and read comments people have made about others albums. I would suggest you do a search for thread with "album" in the title if you want my general critique on first albums, the same will apply to your first album. Examples here and here. My quick general thoughts (do a search for my full thoughts for most peoples albums): - Too busy. - Ugly, ugly frames. Some too fancy, some way too bold. The big white one that looks like a 50 year old mirror has to be completely removed. - Use a thin 1px or 2px white stroke around images, not a massive wide marker. - I rarely like images overlaid over others. - The pages with 9 images - they're too close vertically. - Try to avoid selective color, it will date really quickly. ie it already looks dated, in a few years it'll look even more dated. That's all for now. When you redesign post again in this thread and I may give more critique, if you want it. This is a very good crit and much can be learned from a crit like this if you don't take it personal and see it for what it is "Constructive Criticism". -Rich R.
